The humpback whales will return to Puerto Vallarta!

October 26, 2018

If you’re a nature lover, you know that Mother Nature never fails to inspire and astonish us, and this year will be no exception. December is approaching as well as the humpback whales!  The 2018 whale watching season in Banderas Bay is about to start in Puerto Vallarta!

Witnessing the remarkable humpback whales in their natural habitat in Puerto Vallarta is truly an unforgettable experience. The sheer size of these animals will humble you, also, if you are lucky, you can admire them jumping out of the water and see the impressive strength and size of these giants. Or better yet, you can admire a mother whale swimming with her baby. An opportunity that you can’t miss!

In addition to enjoying the official 2018 whale watching season in Puerto Vallarta, you’ll may have the chance to see wild dolphins, sting rays, sea turtles and the occasional rare sighting of one or two killer whales in the Bay. If you plan to visit PV during December, January or February, take a whale watching tour in the Bay of Banderas to see the beauty and grace of the whales.

As you know, the humpback whale is an animal in danger of extinction, our concierge will help you choose a tour operator that respects the rules of ecology and local laws. Take a whale watching tour on a small but comfortable boat that does not cause a great environmental impact. In a smaller boat, it’s much easier to see these mammals without causing them any stress in their habitat.

From late November to early March, you can book a whale watching tour with a certified tour company for the 2018 whale watching season. Our concierge can help you with information so that your next gaycation in Puerto Vallarta is an unforgettable experience.

What to bring on a Whale Watching tour:

1. Don’t forget your camera to capture your memories.

2. In winter, the sea breeze can be chilly - bring a light, waterproof jacket with you.

3. Protect yourself from the sun with biodegradable sunscreen, nature will thank you.

4. Shorts, tennis shoes and a hat will make you feel more comfortable during the tour.
