The Famous Farmers Markets in Puerto Vallarta

To visit Puerto Vallarta and not go outside of the tourist-y areas, is as if you didn’t visit at all! There’s a whole world of culture, art and exploration in our beautiful city. Many of the national and foreign visitors love to visit the parks, museums and theaters – but one of the things you cannot miss are the beautiful farmers markets in Puerto Vallarta!

The Farmers Markets have become very popular in recent years and in this city and we are lucky to have several markets that you can visit.

These are non-permanent markets with venders who grown their own organic food, cook and bake delicacies and hand craft artwork and jewelry to sell. The Farmers Markets are installed so that you can enjoy a little Mexican flavor as well as some international delights made by locals and ex-pats who’ve chosen to call Puerto Vallarta their home.

Take note, we'll tell you what to do and where to go in Puerto Vallarta during your vacation.

Farmers Market at The Marina

Located right by the giant whale statues, Marina Vallarta is a typical place you must visit during your vacation. You’ll find several delicious restaurants, lavish hotels and beautiful bars surrounded by luxurious yachts that are docked in the marina. That same marina plays host to one of the largest Farmers Markets in Puerto Vallarta every Thursday night from October to May. The marina dock is lined with tents as far as the eye can see with tastey food, fun people and a lively atmosphere (with live music throughout!).

Enjoy the famous Puerto Vallarta sunset while strolling along the Farmers Market at The Marina and listen to the sweet sounds of jazz music, cultural music and brought to you by local artists to liven the afternoon. If you want to take home a beautiful souvenir of Puerto Vallarta, this is one of the ideal places to find it.

Farmers Market at Olas Altas

One more exciting farmers market in Puerto Vallarta, is the market at Olas Altas. This farmers market is located just ten minutes from Almar Luxury LGBT Resort and it’s installed in the Lázaro Cárdenas park, or what has recently become known as, Parque de los Azulejos.

You’ll find the Olas Altas Market during the months of September and April. Every Saturday morning, the market fills with happy visitors who gather to make their organic and artisan purchases.

Enjoy a morning coffee accompanied by a delicious sweet bun as you make the short walk from the Almar Luxury LGBT Resort to purchase handmade soaps, clothes, jewelry accessories and dozens of organic products such as breads, olive oils and essentials.

On your next stay in Puerto Vallarta and Almar Luxury LGBT resort, enjoy our recommendations. We’ll be waiting at the door with open arms to pamper you on your next stay.
