Puerto Vallarta is celebrating some big birthdays. The city is not only celebrating 100 years as a municipality but also 50 years as a city! In commemoration of these great milestones, the Tourism Board is holding a marathon, April 15 of 2018 in the city center. They’re expecting a turnout of more than 2,500 runners from all around the world and from all walks of life. We are hoping that this will be an annual tourist attraction in Puerto Vallarta every April.

Come celebrate Puerto Vallarta’s birthday of in a NEW and unique way while keeping up your fitness on April 15, 2018. If a full marathon is not in your legs, you can also register for the half marathon or the recreational 5k run/walk. Or, if you simply want to come for the festivities and support your friends, there are several activities scheduled that day so we can all be a part of 100 years of Puerto Vallarta and give the city the attention she deserves

The marathon, half marathon and 5k will be held on the main road: Avenido Francisco Medina Ascencio, and all three races will begin and end at the Magical Port or better known as the Maritime Terminal located on Heroic Naval School avenue. So far, there are participants registered from as far as Italy, Canada, the USA, and of course, Mexico.

There are always incredible things to do in Puerto Vallarta for everyone, no matter if you love to cook, to bake, to work out or to party. The city is overflowing with culture and activities – it has a little of everything.
